Maintenance technician

Summary of responsibilities

Our Chicoutimi-based customer is looking for a Maintenance Attendant to join its team as soon as possible. In business for over 30 years in the construction and renovation field, the maintenance worker will play an essential role in the quality of services and maintenance of the company's equipment.

Main responsibilities

Under the direction of the supervisor, the attendant will :

• Carry out general maintenance work on site trailers and/or buildings;
• Ensure the maintenance and proper operation of the various systems, including electricity and plumbing;
• Move units around the yard using heavy loader-type equipment;
• Prepare and clean units prior to delivery (e.g. washing or stripping floors, checking brakes, etc.);
• Maintain the yard and/or building, including mowing in summer and snow removal in winter using a loader;
• Carry out a variety of carpentry work (e.g., replacing doors, adding a division, repairing exterior sheet metal);
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule;
• Make occasional trips (e.g. to pick up materials, etc.);
• Perform all other tasks related to the position.

Job Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma;
• Diploma of vocational studies in building maintenance (an asset);
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar job;
• Any combination of education, experience or professional training will be considered;
• A valid Class 5 driver's license;
• Demonstrate independence and resourcefulness.

• Permanent full-time daytime position (between 30 and 35 hours);
