Physical education teacher

In keeping with the culture and values of the Opitciwan Atikamekw Council (OAC) and the mission of the department, the incumbent teaches core and complementary subjects in accordance with the current educational program, contributes to student learning, evaluates learning and provides classroom management.

Your role

• Prepare the material to be taught to students in accordance with the current educational program and teach it using a methodical plan;
• Promote the educational and social integration of students with learning difficulties, behavioral problems or disabilities;
• Assess student learning;
• Provide a learning environment;

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in health and physical education;
• Have a teaching certificate OR a teaching permit issued by MESS;
• Knowledge of the latest developments in curriculum and educational research;
• Fluency in written and spoken French;
• No criminal record.

Your benefits

• Compensation between $36.73 and $53.95 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications;
• Permanent position after a 6-month trial period;
• 40-hour week;
